![]() ![]() On many motorcycle, adding a few degrees if ignition timing would give you some gains in torque and horsepower. We played with timing up and down and the bottom line is that anytime we made a change with 92 octane pump gas, we lost power. Ignition timing is another question many of our customers ask about. Well, who wants that?!? So we spent hours on the dyno and on the street testing and refining these throttle openings in the mid and low RPM range to ensure the best performance with massive gains between 3, and 6, RPM. This means the ECU controls the throttle blade angle. The Gen 5 ZX10R is a drive by wire system. The new Kawasaki ZX10R has a updated engine design with larger electronically controlled throttle bodies, a 32bit ECU, enhanced power modes, a new chassis and even a launch control mode.īut this rocket is still highly restricted and that needs attention.
